Guided by our experienced leaders, participants joining any of The Big Smile walks do not have to worry about map reading or directions and are able to concentrate on having a wonderful, sociable day out and enjoy the good company and iconic views.

 

In 2021, The Big Smile undertook an introductory campaign of 50 guided walks stretching right across the region. In 2022, a more condensed programme of fundraising walks was more strongly attended and helped to build a stronger base of supporters.

 

The Big Smile campaign in 2023, looks to build further on the successes of previous years. As well as supporting the charity's existing work, The Big Smile 2023 will also make a difference to a regional community in need and will involve support for two particular beneficiary groups in Stockton-on-Tees, one of the economically most deprived parts of the region. We plan to support our beneficiaries with free walking boots and spend regular time showing them a different world beyond their own neighbourhood and helping them move towards a brighter future.
